The Do’s and Don’ts of Implementing Liquor Store Software

The Do’s and Dont’s of Implementing Liquor Store Software

Implementing a new liquor point of sale system can be an easy transition. To help with your evaluation up to going live, here are a few do’s and don’ts to keep in mind.

DON’T download a free trial and test it out yourself.

DO ask a sales person to walk you through the software. This will allow you to see how the system actually works. Free trials do not include typical information and you may miss an awesome feature that a sales person would show you.

DON’T buy something just because it’s free.

DO compare apples to apples on software you are evaluating. This will help you determine which software will assist you in growing you store.

DON’T go live with old, out-dated, data.

DO work with your project manager to get the right, and correct, data in the system. The more up-to-date and correct information will give you the right numbers when running reports. Having poor data is not very beneficial when it comes to inventory or reports.

DON’T say, “I have this, I don’t need training,” or “It looks simple.”

DO allow your project manager to train you on the system. Just like the demo, you may miss something useful! Let them walk you through the software, and ask any questions that come up along the way.

DON’T assume your employees will have the customer support number.

DO provide it in an easy to find way. We are here to help! With the support number readily available, they can hassle us instead of you! Our support team is available 365 days a year. We are here for you!
